Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the official notification for Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 under Advt. No. 01/UPTET/2026.
The UPTET 2026 exam will be conducted on 02, 03 & 04 July 2026. The online application process will start from 27 March 2026, and candidates can apply until 26 April 2026.
Candidates who want to become teachers in Primary (Class 1-5) and Upper Primary (Class 6-8) schools in Uttar Pradesh must qualify this exam.

🎓 UPTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Primary Level (Class 1 to 5)
- Bachelor’s Degree from recognized university
- BTC / D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed or equivalent course approved by NCTE
- Minimum 50% Marks (as per rules)
- Final year candidates are also eligible
Upper Primary Level (Class 6 to 8)
- Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks (45% in some cases)
- B.Ed / BTC / D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed
- Special Education (RCI recognized) candidates are also eligible
- 4-Year integrated teaching course candidates can also apply
