1. PET-2025 Registration Number and Score Card
2. Valid photo identity proof (Aadhaar, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving Licence)

7. EWS Certificate (issued between 01-04-2026 to 11-05-2026, based on FY 2025-26 income, valid for FY 2026-27)
8. Disability Certificate in prescribed format (for PwD candidates)
9. Ex-Serviceman Certificate in prescribed format (if applicable)
10. Freedom Fighter Dependent Certificate (if applicable)
11. NCC ‘B’ Certificate / Pradeshik Sena service proof (for preferential qualification)
12. No Objection Certificate from current employer (for in-service government employees)
13. Printout of the online application form (signed)

Note: For SC/ST female candidates of UP, caste certificate issued from the father’s side is the only valid document.

Step 2: Keep Documents Ready

Keep your PET-2025 Registration Number, educational certificates, category certificate (if applicable), and valid ID proof handy before starting the process.

Step 3: Visit the Official Website
Go to upsssc.gov.in and navigate to the Live Advertisement Segment on the Homepage. Click on Advertisement No. 05-Exam/2026 to download/view the full notification.

Step 4: Login via PET Registration Number
Click on Apply Online. Login using your PET-2025 Registration Number. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number/email. Submit the OTP to proceed.

Step 5: Verify Pre-filled Details
After login, your personal details (name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, category, address, etc.) as registered in PET-2025 will be auto-displayed. Verify all details carefully.

Step 6: Select Desired Post(s)
From the list of advertised posts, select the specific post(s) for which you wish to apply. Only selected posts will be considered for your candidature. Fill in your educational qualification details for each selected post.

Step 7: Enter Verification Code & Submit
Enter the verification code shown on the registration page and click “Submit”. An 11-digit registration number will be generated. Note it down carefully.

Step 8: Verify Photo & Signature
Your photo and signature uploaded during PET-2025 will be auto-displayed. These cannot be changed. Click “Continue” to proceed to the next section.

Step 9: Fill Other Details & Set Post Preference
Indicate your preference (priority order) for the selected posts. Also mention preferential qualification (if any) by selecting Yes/No. Your permanent and correspondence address will be auto-displayed from PET-2025 records.

Step 10: Read & Accept the Declaration
Read the declaration carefully. Tick all checkboxes to confirm your agreement, enter the verification code, and click “Save and Submit”.

Step 11: Pay the Application Fee
Pay the online processing fee of ₹25 using Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan. For SBI e-Challan, download the challan and pay at any SBI branch, then update the transaction ID on the portal.

Step 12: Download & Print Application Form
Once fee payment and adjustment is successful, your application will be auto-submitted. Download and print the application form and payment receipt for future reference. Keep it safely — it may be required during document verification.

Q2. What is the total number of vacancies?
⇒ A total of 929 vacancies have been announced across 19 different Uttar Pradesh government departments.

Q3. Is PET-2025 mandatory to apply for this recruitment?
⇒ Yes. Only candidates who participated in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and received a valid Score Card from UPSSSC are eligible to apply. Shortlisting for the Main Exam will be done based on PET-2025 normalized scores.

Q4. Is there negative marking in the Main Examination?
⇒ Yes. 1/4th (25%) of the marks prescribed for a question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No penalty is applied for unattempted questions.

Q5. What educational qualification is required for ASO/ARO (Statistics)?
⇒ A Post-Graduate degree (or equivalent recognized qualification) in Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Commerce, Economics, or Statistics from a recognized university in India is mandatory. Additionally, a computer qualification (NIELIT ‘O’ Level or equivalent diploma) and Hindi knowledge in Devanagari script are required.

Q6. What is the application fee for UPSSSC ASO Recruitment 2026?
⇒ The application fee is NIL (₹00) for all categories. Only an online processing fee of ₹25 is applicable for all categories.

Q7. Can candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh apply?
⇒ Indian citizens can apply, but reservation benefits are available only for domicile residents of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates from other states will be treated as unreserved/general category.

Q8. Can I modify my application after submission?
⇒ Yes. Limited modifications are permitted until 18 May 2026. Only certain fields such as correspondence address, EWS/horizontal reservation category, preferential qualification details, and marital status can be modified. Core details cannot be changed after submission.

Q9. What is the salary for ASO/ARO (Statistics) posts?
⇒ The pay scale varies by department. Most posts fall under Level-6 with minimum pay ranging from ₹9,300 to ₹35,400 and maximum pay up to ₹1,12,400, along with Grade Pay of ₹4,200 (where applicable) and other allowances as per UP Government rules.

Q10. Are all posts permanent in nature?
⇒ Yes. All 929 advertised posts are Permanent (Sthayi) in nature, offering long-term government job security.
