Important Reservation Notes: Reservation is applicable only to candidates domiciled in Haryana State. Candidates from reserved categories of other states/UTs will be treated as General category candidates. If no suitable reserved category candidate is available, the reserved post will be filled from General category. Reservation policy applicable at the time of selection shall be considered.
Eligibility Criteria — Ambala Clerk (Ad-hoc) Recruitment 2026
⇒ Educational Qualification:
- Must hold a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree or equivalent from a recognized University
- Must have passed Matriculation (10th) examination with Hindi as one of the subjects
- Both qualifications must be held before the date of application
⇒ Domicile:
- Candidates of Haryana domicile are eligible for reservation benefits
- Candidates from other states/UTs are eligible to apply but will be considered under General category only
⇒ Nationality: Indian Citizens
⇒ Selection Rule: Selection will be made strictly as per Rule 7 of the Haryana Subordinate Courts Establishment (Recruitment and General Conditions of Service) Rules, 1997.
Selection Process — Exam Pattern
Stage 1: Written Examination — Total 100 Marks

Qualifying Criteria for Written Exam:
- Minimum 33% marks in each subject separately
- Minimum 40% marks in the aggregate of both subjects (General Knowledge + English Composition)
- Candidates failing to meet either condition will NOT be considered qualified
Stage 2: Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) — Qualifying Only
Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for CPT (number as decided by the Selection Committee). The CPT is mandatory but marks of CPT will NOT be counted in final merit determination.
