Jammu & Kashmir Bank Limited (J&K Bank), one of India’s most reputed regional banking institutions headquartered at M.A. Road, Srinagar, has officially released its Apprentice Recruitment Notification 2026 under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).
This is a brilliant opportunity for fresh graduates across J&K, Ladakh, and selected cities in the rest of India to gain hands-on banking experience under the Apprentices Act, 1961. A total of 614 vacancies have been announced for a one-year apprenticeship engagement in the Bank’s Branches and Offices across various districts. Stipend Details

Note: DBT amount of ₹4,500 from Govt. Agency will only be paid to apprentices whose age is less than 35 years as on date of online contract issuance through the Apprenticeship Portal. Apprentices shall NOT be eligible for any other allowances or benefits beyond those mentioned above.
Eligibility Criteria – J&K Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026
- Graduation from a recognized University / Institute
- Candidates must have passed their Graduation on or after 01 January 2022
- Only Graduates are eligible to apply under NATS
- Candidates must be proficient in the local/official language of the respective region/area and must have studied the local/official language as a subject in Class 10th or 12th

- Minimum: 20 Years | Maximum: 28 Years
- Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD as per Government guidelines
⇒ NATS Portal Registration:
- Candidates must register on the NATS Apprenticeship Portal: https://nats.education.gov.in before applying
- Candidate’s Mobile, Aadhaar, and Bank Account must be inter-linked and DBT must be enabled in their Bank Account
- Profile on NATS Portal must be 100% complete
⇒ Candidates NOT Eligible:
- Those who have already undergone Apprenticeship in J&K Bank or any other organization earlier
- Those currently pursuing Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961
- Those terminated from Apprenticeship training due to their own fault/misconduct
- Candidates who have job experience of one year or more after attainment of educational qualification

- Candidate must apply for only one District / Area. If a candidate registers for more than one district, only the latest application will be considered
- Selected candidates will be trained only in the district/area for which they applied

Important Exam Details:
- Type: Objective Type (Online)
- Language: English only
- Negative Marking: ¼ mark (0.25 marks) deducted per wrong answer
- No penalty for unattempted questions
- Merit list will be drawn district/region and category wise
- Candidates with equal marks will be ranked by age in descending order
- Cut-offs applied at two stages: (i) on individual test scores and (ii) on total score
