⇒ Character: Candidates terminated/dismissed from government service or convicted of serious offences are ineligible.

⇒ Marital Status: A male candidate with more than one living wife, or a female candidate married to a person already having a living wife, is not eligible.

⇒ Physical Fitness: Candidates must be in good mental and physical health. A medical fitness certificate from a Medical Officer (not below Deputy Superintendent rank in a Government Hospital) is required at the time of joining.
