HPRCA Teacher Recruitment 2026 — Apply Online for 894 Posts

1. Downloaded/printed copy of the Online Recruitment Application Form along with original certificates and self-attested photocopies
2. Matriculation Certificate — for age proof
3. Degree / Diploma / Certificates and Mark Sheets of all years/semesters for educational qualifications prescribed under essential qualifications column
4. Experience certificates, if required (post practical experience must be acquired after basic qualification and must be verified/countersigned by concerned Government Authority/Departmental Officer)
5. Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) — issued by competent authority on parental basis, in prescribed GOI format
6. BPL Certificate (if applicable) — valid as on ORA submission date as well as document verification date
7. EWS Certificate — valid as on date of submission and document verification (issued within 1 year)
8. OBC Certificate — must specifically contain Non-Creamy Layer clause; valid within 1 year as on date of advertisement
9. WFF (Ward of Freedom Fighter) Certificate — if applicable
10. Any other certificate required for determining eligibility as mentioned in the mode of selection criteria
11. Valid Admit Card

Note: All certificates must be in the prescribed format; otherwise, candidature may be rejected. PwBD candidates must obtain prior authorization from HPRCA via prescribed proforma for scribe/reader or compensatory time, at least 15 days before the CBT.

Step 2: Complete One-Time Registration (OTR)
After signing up, complete the OTR process by providing your personal information, educational qualifications, work experience (if any), and uploading your recent passport-size photograph and signature along with relevant supporting documents. This OTR profile is stored for future applications as well.

Step 3: Complete / Update Your Profile
Only candidates with a completed profile can apply for posts. If any details need updating (e.g., change in qualification or contact details), edit your profile before applying.

Step 4: Apply for the Desired Post
Log in and navigate to the list of available posts on the HPRCA portal. Select the post you wish to apply for and click the “Apply” button against the relevant post code (26028 to 26035).

Step 5: Select Preferred Exam District
From the dropdown menu, select your preferred district(s) for appearing in the examination. HPRCA reserves the right to allot any district/centre in case of non-availability of the preferred choice due to node limitations.

Step 6: Confirm Application Details
The system will auto-fill your application form using your OTR profile information. Carefully review all details before proceeding. Ensure all columns are correctly filled — no column should be left blank.

Step 7: Pay the Application Fee
Pay the total fee of ₹800/- (₹100 exam fee + ₹700 processing fee) through the available Online Payment Gateway (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking). No other mode of payment is accepted. Fee once paid is non-refundable.

Step 8: Application Submission Confirmation
After successful payment, your application will be considered complete. Take a printout of the ORA form along with the payment receipt for future reference. This printout, along with original certificates and self-attested photocopies, must be produced at the time of document verification.

Q2. What is the honorarium/salary for these teacher posts?
⇒ The fixed honorarium is ₹30,000/- per month, payable for 10 months in an academic year. This is a scheme-based engagement — not a regular government salary. Government service rules, pension, and medical reimbursement rules do not apply.

Q3. Is this a permanent government job? Can selected teachers be regularized?
⇒ No. This is a purely temporary, scheme-based engagement for 5 years. Selected teachers shall not be deemed Government employees and have no right to regularization against any sanctioned post under the Education Department.

Q4. Is TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) mandatory for all posts?
⇒ TET conducted by H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala or any other authorized agency is mandatory for most subject teacher posts (Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Psychology, Public Administration). For Computer and Fine Arts teachers, TET is not mentioned as a mandatory requirement. Physical Education teachers require M.P.Ed/M.A. Physical Education instead.

Q5. What is the qualifying percentage of marks in the CBT?
⇒ The minimum qualifying marks are 45% for General/EWS/WFF category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC/BPL category candidates. However, if the number of candidates securing these marks is less than the number of advertised posts, the Aayog may relax the percentage by up to 5%.

Q6. Can candidates from states other than Himachal Pradesh apply?
⇒ Yes, candidates from other states can apply, but they will be treated as General (UR) category candidates. They will not receive the benefit of reservation or fee concession applicable to HP-domiciled reserved category candidates.

Q7. What is the correction window and how does it work?
⇒ A correction window will be opened for 4 days after the closing date of ORA submission. Candidates can rectify errors in their ORA during this period upon payment of a ₹100/- correction fee. After the correction window closes, no changes will be permitted.

Q8. Is there a waiting panel/list for this recruitment?
⇒ Yes. A category-wise waiting panel is prepared along with the final result. The waiting panel size depends on the number of advertised posts: 25% (minimum 2 candidates) for posts up to 25; 15% (minimum 7) for posts between 25–50; and 10% (minimum 8) for posts above 50. The panel is valid for one year from the date of sending recommendations to the appointing authority.

Q9. Can I apply for multiple posts?
⇒ Yes, candidates can apply for multiple posts, but only one application per post is allowed. Submitting multiple applications for the same post will result in rejection of all but the latest valid application, and fees for earlier registrations will be forfeited.

Q10. Where will selected teachers be posted?
⇒ Selected teachers shall be liable to be posted in any CBSE-affiliated Government School within Himachal Pradesh as per the requirement of the Department. They may also be deputed to other Government schools on need basis.
