SSC CGL 2026 Recruitment – Apply Now for 12,256 Posts (Group B & C)

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the SSC CGL 2026 to recruit candidates for approximately 12,256 Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in various departments under the Government of India.

The online application form process started on 21 May 2026, and the last date to submit applications is 22 June 2026.

Important Dates

SSC CGL 2026 online application form filing starts from 21 May 2026. And candidates can submit their applications up to 22 June 2026 (11:00 PM). Last date for fee payment is 23 June 2026 (11:00 PM). If any wrong information is filled by you during submit the form, then SSC has also provided an application correction window from 29 June 2026 to 01 July 2026.

The Tier-I Examination is tentatively scheduled for August–September 2026, while the Tier-II Examination is expected to be conducted in December 2026.

Age Limit (As on 01 August 2026)

• 18–27 Years: Auditors, Accountants, Postal/Sorting Assistants, Tax Assistants, etc. (born between 02-08-1999 and 01-08-2008)
• 18–30 Years: Inspector IT, Inspector (CBIC/CBN), Sub Inspector, Inspector Posts, Assistant Enforcement Officer, ASO (MEITY & others) etc. (born between 02-08-1996 and 01-08-2008)
• 20–30 Years: ASO (CSS, Railways, MEA, AFHQ), Sub Inspector (CBI) (born between 02-08-1996 and 01-08-2006)
• 18–32 Years: Junior Statistical Officer (born between 02-08-1994 and 01-08-2008)

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: +5 years
• OBC: +3 years
• PwBD: +10 years
• PwBD (OBC): +13 years
• PwBD (SC/ST): +15 years
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service
• Central Govt. Employees (Group C, 3+ yrs service): Up to 40 years
• Widows/Divorced Women (not remarried): Up to 35 years
